Self Reflection: Reconstruction Debate.

How did I feel during planning this presentation? Why did I feel this way?
A. In the beginning, I thought that I wouldn’t be enough help to my group members because I didn’t completely grasp the 10 percent plan, or understand the content.

How did I feel prior to presenting? Why did I feel this way?
A. After studying and practicing for hours, I began to feel as if I would play one of the biggest parts in helping my group because I felt that I would know all my parts and take over the audience.

How did I feel while I was presenting? Why did I feel this way?
A. While I was presenting, I felt as though I had just ruined the entire debate for my group and my class mates because I had messed up so bad.

What did I personally do well?
A. I think that the timing of my slides with what I was saying turned out fascinating.

What did not go as desired in this presentation?
A. Once it came my turn to speak, I cracked under pressure and forgot everything that I had memorized.

On a scale from 1-10, how well do I think I understood the content? Explain.
A. On a scale from 1-10, I think I would have earned a 6 or a 7, because I had everything going swimmingly, until I forgot my lines, which ended up being a big part of my presenting.

How do I think my group members perceived me? Why do I think this?
A. I think my group members thought that I was a slacker, or an under-achiever, this was because, even though I had, it appeared as if I had just thrown the debate away and not practiced.

How do I think the 8th graders perceived me? Why do I think this?
A. From what I know, the 8th graders probably took it as an insult, that we had all graded them poorly on their projects. Then stunk it up with ours.

Knowing that I can only control how I act and react, if I could do this presentation again, what would I change about my actions to make it a more ideal experience?
A. I would make sure that I can perform in front of a crowd by finding some people to listen while I practice my lines.

What are my strengths in groups?
A. My strengths in a group would be that I can memorize certain things to help people.

What areas do I need improvement?
A. I need to be able to perform and present in front of a group of people.

What is the most important thing I learned about myself? Why is this so important?
A. I always thought that I would be able to do anything in a crowd, I would always imagine myself acting in a live show, this is important because I will need to be able to get in front of an audience for performance grades.

Are there any other things that I need to express?
A. I also need to express that I prefer to work in groups, but mainly groups that I can understand and everyone will play a different role.
